THE ATTACHMENT TO HOME: Post War UK Pre-Fabs & Normandy – two perspectives by Elisabeth Blanchet

We are delighted to be exhibiting some of Elisabeth Blanchet’s  photography here at Travelling Through… over the next 6 weeks.  As always we ask our artists to theme their work around their perspective of home and a perspective of London and the UK.

Born in Normandy, Elisabeth captures some wonderful beachscape images catapulting us headlong onto the large sandy expanses of Normandy’s coast.  In contrast her perspective of the UK focuses entirely on the UK’s post war prefabricated houses which still stand strong in many areas across the UK despite their intended 10 year lifespan.  Elisabeth’s photographs allow us to observe a life of community and a spirit of home.

Elisabeth will be giving two evening talks over the course of the exhibition.  Wednesday 29th April and Wednesday 13th May 2015 commencing at 7.00pm.  So do come along if you can to hear more about her work and what inspires her as a photographer.  Entrance will be £2 payable on the night.

All photographs are for sale and can be ordered at various sizes with an option to be mounted, unmounted, framed or unframed.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best wishes from the Travelling Through Team.
